The centerpiece of Regent Seven Seas’ onboard experience is its impressive culinary offerings. Among our favorites is Prime 7. This classic American steak and chophouse is a carnivore’s delight. Join us for a look inside the restaurant and our favorite delectable menu items.
Design
The dining room’s decor reflects the traditional American steakhouse with contemporary flair. The designers use a combination of fine wood and rich leather throughout the restaurant to create the ambiance. Regent does a beautiful job of adding little details to enhance the atmosphere. Dark wood paneled walls compliment cognac-stained parquet floors, light grey wingback chairs, and gilded cutlery.
The room feels cozy without being claustrophobic. This effect is due primarily to the window-lined exterior walls. The clever application of wooden trellises divides the room while also creating the illusion of more space. Finishing touches of cobalt blue wall panels and cream-colored millwork complete the overall look.
Menu Items
Prime 7 serves dinner. Regent includes a wide variety of starters that range from traditional items like wedge or caesar salads to more experimental items like Foie Gras Sliders. The culinary team does a fantastic job accounting for the tastes of seafood and meat eaters by adding starters like seared diver scallops, lump crab cakes, and Black Angus steak tartare.
The main courses feature an excellent selection of USDA Prime cuts, a variety of lamb, veal, poultry, and outstanding seafood. Our favorite of the five USDA Prime cuts is the impressive .32-ounce Porterhouse. This superb steak is dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days and cooked to your temperature preferences. It is meant to feed two, and an 18-ounce single portion is available, but feel free to “off-script” if you desire a challenge.
Among the impressive seafood offerings, we liked the Whole Maine Lobster. Nothing screams luxury dining louder than a succulent lobster bathed in drawn butter and lemon. Feel free to mix and match your own “surf and turf” combination by pairing your favorites. With every menu item included for no additional cost, Regent invites you to experiment and explore.
Rounding out the menu is an assortment of a la carte side dishes, small plates, decadent desserts, and various savory sauces. For a complete view of Prime 7’s menu, follow this link.
