Fine Cut Steakhouse elevates cuisine to an art form. From hand-selected premium cuts of beef to premium seafood, this chophouse on Celebrity Apex has something for everyone. We had the privilege of experiencing it firsthand, and we are here to tell you all about it.
Interior Design
Located in the heart of the action, Fine Cut overlooks the lively World-Class bar three decks below. During lunch service, the room is flooded with natural light from the sea-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, while at night, the house lights come down to create a more intimate dining experience. The attractive interior design elements include a color palette of scarlet, grey, gold, dark wood tones, and marble tabletops. The final product makes for one of the most attractive dining rooms on a ship, with tough competition among visually appealing spaces.
Menu Favorites
To start our meal, we ordered the Pan Seared Scallops with sweet corn espuma, fava beans, chorizo, and lemon. An excellent seafood aperitif to wet the palette for the meal to come, the scallops were cooked perfectly and melted on the tongue.
We also had the King Ceasar Salad with herb croutons, aged parmesan, and caviar. The caviar is a nice addition setting the dish above the standard for a classic caesar. The ingredients come together well, creating a light and refreshing starter.
For our Entree, we had the Tomahawk Ribeye. This 30 oz. cut of certified Black Angus is big enough to be shared and tasty enough not to. This delightful steak was the highlight of the meal. We had ours medium rare with bearnaise sauce from the premium toppings menu. Carnivores onboard will want to circle this one on their lists.
Side dishes are served family style, so we ordered Smoked Bacon Mac and Cheese Sauteed Spinach and gruyere tater tots. The sides were excellent and added diversity to the meat-heavy meal.
We finished our meal with an indulgent Hot Fudge Browny Sundae. This classic dessert featured a dense fudge brownie buried in vanilla ice cream and drowned in chocolate sauce.
Overall, our experience at Fine Cut was a warm and satisfying meal with friends and family enjoying an intimate meal of fine cuisine. Well worth the small cover charge when you consider that you can order as much or as little as you want once you sit down.
