Atlantide is the re-imagined main dining room on the Silver Muse. With a name that implies creative inspiration, Silversea’s new ship provides the perfect opportunity to change the brand’s dining paradigm. Gone is the Restaurant, in its place, is a fine seafood and chop house and we are going to give you a sneak peek at this brand-new restaurant.
Design
The decor creates a refined and cozy atmosphere. Atlantide is the largest dining room on the ship. The restaurant sits 164 guests. The walls of the room feature dark wood and leather paneling. The floors are composed of travertine tile walkways and red and cream-colored carpets. The tables can be arranged to seat parties of 2 to six. The terracotta-colored seating and curtains add color to the room.
The Concept
Silversea is transforming the dining experience in their fleet, Atlantide is one of eight dining venues onboard and represents the next evolution of a “main-dining room” on their cruise ships. This high-end seafood and chophouse seats the most people onboard and serves all three meals but feels like specialty dining. On a brand-new ship carrying the standard for one of the most respected names in luxury travel, execution is imperative, and Silversea has risen to the occasion.
Breakfast is served from an a la carte menu that does not change. The lunch and dinner menus rotate daily. Silversea’s trademark is classic luxury and one of the ways they execute this is with their dress code. Breakfast and lunch are casual but make sure to check the nightly dress code in your Daily Chronicles (onboard schedule) for the nightly dress code.
Lunch menus consist of a rotating list of soups, salads, and lighter entrees you can expect items like crab cakes, hearty seafood bisques, sandwiches, and pasta. Lunch service is offered during a short, 90-minute window.
Dinner is where the menu at Atlantide shines. Silversea uses locally sourced and inspired ingredients and dishes to keep their menus fresh and relevant to each destination guests will visit. This ever-changing menu includes items like Oscietra Caviar, King Scallops with strawberries, Steak Carpaccio, and Beef and Caviar tartare. If there was any doubt that Silversea has broken from the traditional cruise dining room experience, the dinner menu will eliminate them.
Overall, Atlantide feels like an overture before a much larger dining experience. We would recommend it as your first stop for dining on the Silver Muse. The large menu and each of its delicious items will get you thinking about what other treats this ship has to offer.
