Azamara Celebrates the Return to South America and South Africa with Country Intensive Voyages

Explore the deepest reaches of South America on an Azamara Chilean Fjords Cruise

Azamara Cruises, the now independent upmarket cruise line and destination-intensive leader, will return to South Africa and South America in the fall. The brand has been absent in the two regions since the cruise pause in 2020.

Azamara Journey will return to Capetown for six back-to-back destination-intensive itineraries concluding with a 21-night Western Africa Voyage on December 20th, 2022. Guests will enjoy longer stays in ports like Durban, Richard’s Bay, and more. Azamara guests will explore Winelands, learn about the culture of the Zulu, and explore the rich natural beauty of the region.

Azamara Pursuit will cruise the South American Coast with stops along the way for Carnival in Rio De Janerio. She will also do fly-bys of the Antarctic Peninsula and sail the picturesque Beagle Channel in the Straits of Magellan.

Azamara’s Director of Strategic Itinerary & Destination Planning, Michael Pawlus, released a statement espousing the demand for the brand’s return to these popular regions as the cruise industry continues to make strides back from the recent pandemic. The excitement to once again access these bucket-list destinations is shared by the brand and guests alike.
