Seabourn Venture completed its maiden Antarctica Voyage. Seabourn held the naming ceremony for its first purpose-built expedition ship while parked on the ice of the Weddell Sea. A perfect way to announce the brand’s presence on the “White Continent.”
The Ceremony took place on November 20th, 2022, with the Venture’s godmother, explorer, mountaineer, and polar adventurer, Allison Levine performing her ceremonial duties remotely. The crew smashed a bottle made of ice amid blessings for the journeys to come.
In attendance were Seabourn’s Vice President of Expeditions, Robin West, and President Josh Leibowitz, who both shared praise and words of praise for the ship and its crew.
Though the ceremony marks the maiden voyage of the Seabourn Venture in Antarctica, the ship has been sailing Arctic Itineraries since its launch in July 2022. Now that the ship has repositioned for the Antarctic Summer, the brand looks forward to exploring the “White Continent” with Zodiac Tours, Naturalists, and the ever-popular polar plunge. Seabourne Venture even offers a submersible submarine. Now that she is here, the future of Seabourn’s Expeditions looks bright.
