Scenic has announced the launch date of its much anticipated second discovery yacht, the Scenic Eclipse II. The ship’s first voyage is scheduled for April 12th, 2023, from Lisbon, Portugal, for 11 days to Barcelona.
As the project approaches completion, Scenic has released additional details about the new ship and its itineraries. Eclipse II will build on the success of its sistership’s vast spa facility. The 5,920 ft2 Senses Spa will now feature aroma therapy in the steam room, an ice fountain, experience showers, and a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds. There will also be an infrared light therapy lounge.
Expanded spa facilities are not the only new additions. Scenic has also added an indoor and outdoor seating bar area on deck 10. This will be a welcome addition to guests looking to enjoy a cocktail with unimaginable views of Antarctica, the Arctic, or any of the incredible destinations the ship will visit.
Details of Scenic Eclipse II’s new itineraries were released. She will kick off with an 11-night cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona. The Incredible Iberian Discovery will highlight the seafaring people of Portugal and Spain.
The ship will feature a PC6 hull like its predecessor, which will come in handy on the new 15-day Beyond the Antarctic Circle itinerary. Guests will experience once-in-a-lifetime shore landings as they chase penguins, whales, and seals across the White Continent.
Additional itineraries have also been announced for the Arctic, Scotland, Tahiti, the Caribbean, and more.
